Frequently Asked Questions
1. I'm running ieStarGate version 1.0, will you still support this version?
No, we will no longer support Version 1.0. You may be eligible for a free upgrade to version 2.0, please see the upgrade page for more information.
2. Can I still add new web pages to my Favorites and will they automatically display?
Yes, continue to add web pages to your Favorites as usual, the new web pages will automatically display when ieStarGate plays the folder containing them.
3. Why won't all my web pages in my Favorites play?
Only web pages saved in the first initial folders listed under your Favorites will play. Any web pages contained in secondary folders will not. ie: If you have a folder called Sports, within that folder a folder called Football, the web pages contained in the Football Folder will not play. The web pages would have to be moved to the Sports Folder.
4. How can I stop some web pages from displaying?
Move the web pages to a secondary folder. Create a folder within another folder and move the web pages to that folder. Also, see the above answer to question #3.
5. Can ieStarGate run in multiple tabs?
Yes, ieStarGate can run in multiple tabs. Each ieStarGate will run independently of the other, so you can play different Favorites Folders in each tab.
6. Why don't all my web pages scroll?
Some web pages may not scroll due to how the website was created. If you are a webmaster of a site that does not scroll, please contact us as we may be able to direct you on how to get your site to scroll.
7. Do all web pages have to be in a specific Favorites Folder to play?
Yes, any site that you want to play, must be in a Folder listed under your Favorites. Sites that are not in folders or that are in secondary folders (folder within a folder) will not play.
8. Can I increase or decrease my viewing time?
Yes, you can adjust the display time using the Page Display Timer on the Toolbar. You can also set the time to Off. When in Off mode, ieStarGate will continue to scroll, but will not automatically change web pages.
9. Can I pause the scrolling feature?
Yes, just click on the Meter Bar on the Toolbar to pause or restart scrolling. You can also pause scrolling by clicking on the web page, click the meter bar to resume scrolling.
10. How do I turn the scroll feature off?
Select Off from the Scroll Button drop-down menu on the Toolbar.
11. Why does my scrolling start and stop?
When a page is loading it will stop scrolling, when through, it will resume.
